The Island is recognized by DiploFoundation as component of the Virtual Diplomacy Project. The Maldives' embassy is located on Second Life's "Diplomacy Island", in which site visitors will be able to chat facial area-to-face with a computer-produced ambassador about visas, trade and other issues. It was mentioned that the island will function the Nikola Tesla Museum, the Guča Trumpet Festival and the Exit Festival.
