On sixteen July 390 BC, a Gallic military less than the leadership of tribal chieftain Brennus, fulfilled the Romans on the financial institutions of the Allia River ten miles north of Rome. The town of Rome grew from settlements close to a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of visitors and trade. This triggered a dilemma, in that Rome came to have a huge male population but was bereft of gals.
