Several educational and analysis establishments and medical facilities near the Curie identify, which includes the Curie Institute and Pierre and Marie Curie University, afterwards renamed UPMC. Marie Curie died on July 4, 1934, due to aplastic anemia, a unusual ailment in which the bone marrow and the hematopoietic stem cells that reside there are destroyed.
