The outsized phallus of Roman artwork was linked with the god Priapus, amongst other individuals. By sixty eight Ad, the year of Nero's loss of life, there was no likelihood of a return to the Roman Republic, and so a new emperor had to occur. There was a significant blood link, but the only male member living was a quite previous warrior, the hero of a lot of battles and the possessor of the talisman.
