During an attack on Booth's youngsters, Kovac's efforts lead to the death of Brennan's father, Max Keenan. Booth tells Brennan that their connection is as "serious as a heart attack" and that he is in really like with her. Booth is demoted to "desk jockey" since of his marriage with Brennan and the resultant conflict of curiosity. Cam now appears to be considerably far more at ease in the partnership.
