In 2017, Brand released a new podcast named Under the Skin with Russell Brand in which he interviews attendees from areas such as academia, well known culture and the arts. The most spectacular manifestation of this was the May student revolt of 1968 in Paris that joined up with a normal strike of 10 million personnel called by the trade unions and for a handful of times seemed capable of overthrowing the government of Charles de Gaulle.
