Among the most prominent associates of the newspaper's workers was cartoonist Jacob Burck, who was employed by the Chicago Times in 1938, won a Pulitzer Prize in 1941 and ongoing with the paper soon after it became the Sun-Times, drawing almost 10,000 cartoons in excess of a 44-year occupation.
