After his death, the films were being seen by neuroscientist Gregory Berns, whilst investigating his e book Satisfaction. At a scientific conference (written up as the 1954 e-book Studies in Schizophrenia), they explained how they experienced honed their tactics, establishing greater and safer techniques of implanting ever far more electrodes and leaving them in for ever longer.
