In 2016, in a bid to raise safety, the Singapore Police Force mounted 62,000 law enforcement cameras in 10,000 Housing and Development Board (HDB) blocks masking the lifts and multi-storey motor vehicle parks. With rising safety issues, the number of CCTV cameras in community places these as checking of the general public transport procedure and industrial/ governing administration structures in Singapore is set to maximize.
