In a 2006 review of 2,345 lesbian and bisexual women, only 9.3% had claimed they experienced ever been asked their sexual orientation by a health practitioner. The evaluate also observed that 70% of female victims in one particular study ended up "extremely frightened" in response to IPV from their companions, but 85% of male victims described "no fear", and that IPV mediated the satisfaction of the relationship for girls but not for guys.
