Renovations on the higher-flooring suites were finished, when lessen-floor suites were in the system of getting upgraded. The Hard Rock closed on February 3, 2020, for renovations. Virgin Hotels and a team of investors obtained the Hard Rock in 2018 and declared plans to renovate and rebrand it as a Virgin hotel.
