Bert Cooper gives each individual indication that he would have experienced (he retains a print of The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife in his office, for crying out loud!) if it were being not for the interference of a Dr. Lyle Evans, whom it appears gave Cooper an unwanted orchiectomy back again in the forties, and whom Sterling believes Cooper had killed for his hassle. If you might be a musician out there, will not say no to things like this.
