The movie was shot on site in New Mexico. Parker edited the movie throughout principal photography, but was not on site. 1 Principal images concluded in November 2012, just after 42 days of filming. Production moved to Chilili, New Mexico for two months of filming. In the film, the 4-male SEAL reconnaissance crew is found out by three goat herders-an aged man and two teenage boys.
