On June 1, Brenda Carol Ball, 22, disappeared after leaving the Flame Tavern in Burien, close to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. On October 31, Laura Ann Aime, also 17, disappeared 25 miles (40 km) south of there in Lehi just after leaving a café just right after midnight.
