According to documents from KGB defector Vasili Mitrokhin, Agee was despatched paperwork by an "anonymous sender". He denied the accusations, which have been to start with manufactured by a higher-position Cuban intelligence officer and 'defector' in a 1992 Los Angeles Times report.
