The movie follows 3 character-pushed stories about persons who’ve left the strict Orthodox religion for numerous factors. Adapted from an Elena Ferrante novel, The Lost Daughter follows Leda Caruso (played by Olivia Colman in the existing and Jessie Buckley in flashbacks) with such unrelenting closeness as she goes about her working holiday break on a Greek island that it frequently feels like we’re in her head.
