The Senate Intelligence Committee wrote that the FBI built "initiatives to corroborate the info in the dossier memos, but the Committee found that attempt missing in both of those thoroughness and rigor". The FBI stopped all attempts to corroborate the dossier in May 2017 when the Special Counsel's Office took over the Russia investigation.
