In the summer season of 2006, a French translation of Fun Home was serialized in the Paris newspaper Libération (which experienced formerly serialized Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi). In the similar month, the Anglophone Studies division of the Université François Rabelais, Tours sponsored an educational convention on Bechdel's work, with shows in Paris and Tours.
