The community hosted the first primary-time GOP candidates' discussion board of the 2016 campaign on August 6. The discussion achieved a file-breaking 24 million viewers, by much the biggest viewers for any cable news function. In 1965, Hope Ryden began documenting the ongoing story of Mildred and Richard Loving, whose mixed-race marriage activated a landmark civil legal rights case (and is the subject of the 2016 characteristic movie Loving).
