During the Second Intermediate Period (1650-1550 BCE) portions of Egypt have been controlled by Nubians and by the Hyksos, a Semitic people. In the First Intermediate Period (2181-2055 BCE) and the Middle Kingdom (2055-1650 BCE) clothes for most folks remained the exact, but manner for the higher courses became much more elaborate. Those serving in the homes of the rich also started sporting extra refined dress.
