The development of the ESRB was officially declared to Congress on July 29, 1994. The ESRB was officially introduced on September 16, 1994 its procedure consisted of five age-primarily based ratings "Early Childhood", "Kids to Adults" (afterwards renamed "Everyone" in 1998), "Teen", "Mature", and "Adults Only".
