Charlton Fair was started in the 12 months 1268, so that it was a very historic establishment, to be held on three days in the calendar year-'the Eve, the working day, and the morrow of the Trinity.' The time of the Fair was, even so, transformed at some time to the working day of St. Luke, on October eighteen. It was a person of people Fairs which acquired a unique character.
