Wii starts off with the heroes at Princess Peach's birthday get together. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door starts off with Mario only heading to Rogueport to be part of Peach in searching for treasure. Bowser attacks, effortlessly beats Mario, and takes more than the castle, forcing Mario to discover the Star Sprites and make his way back again.
