Cantankerous centenarian Allan Karlsson (played by middle-aged comic Robert Gustafsson) designed his screen debut a handful of several years back in The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared, which crushed the box business office in Gustafsson’s indigenous Sweden, and gained an Oscar nomination for Best Makeup to boot.
