An English-language version of the channel was at first launched in 1994 throughout Europe and was subsequently renamed Discovery Home and Leisure and afterwards Discovery Real Time as aspect of Discovery's slate of themed channels. TLC Balkans was also introduced on October 1, 2010, replacing the European model of the "Travel & Living Channel" in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
