Season 3 introduces the Legion of Super-Heroes, a superhero workforce from the 30th century, whose associates consist of Mon-El, Brainy, and (afterwards) Winn. X Japan was the band that kicked off the overall notion of male-on-guy fanservice onstage - and still holds the title for some of the most Refuge in Audacity illustrations, and has had associates at some point subtly appear out, albeit not in push conferences or actual text.
