Previously, it was thought that colour movies ended up 1st projected in 1909 at the Palace Theatre in London (the main issue with the color getting that the system, designed by George Smith, (Kinemacolor) only used two colors: inexperienced and purple, which had been mixed additively). In 1979, Australian filmmaker George Miller also garnered international notice for his violent, small-finances action film Mad Max.
