Smith and Williamson experimented with action continuity and were most likely the first to incorporate the use of inserts and near-ups amongst pictures. Oddly acting extras populate the backgrounds of monitoring photographs and rubbish vans filled with odd dust fluff (which we at some point study spreads the spores) exist at the fringes of the display. He required them replicated as authentically as doable on screen.
