I really don't know why they are not able to just be "as extensive as they want to be" in this era of streaming. But then enjoying an android whose factory presets are alternatively robotic (form of like Data on Star Trek) just before his algorithms can modify to the particular person he's assigned to is most likely why he seemed a tiny off at initially.
