Sara Robinson, a former beverage manager at a Hard Rock bar, sued Dennis Rodman and the vacation resort in 2007. She alleged that Rodman experienced assaulted her in 2006, and that the Hard Rock was negligent in preserving him off the house following that. Other explanations for threats against people assaulted is to punish them for reporting it, or of forcing them to withdraw the criticism.
