The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards went forward as scheduled at the Staples Center on the working day of the crash, but integrated tributes by many artists and teams, together with host Alicia Keys opening the exhibit with a tribute speech in which she called Staples Center "the dwelling that Kobe Bryant created" and signing up for Boyz II Men to sing "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday".
