The British movie journal Monthly Film Bulletin identified as it "the most sickening exhibition of brutality, perversion, sex and sadism ever to be shown on a cinema display". It appeared on the 1948 mass-sector Popular Library reprint of a 1925 novel referred to as "The Private Life of Helen of Troy." Belarski claimed that he was generally told it didn’t issue regardless of whether or not the scene depicted on the protect was in the novel.
