With no past film-performing experience, Emi Kuroda, an AV veteran of some two hundred video clips, was picked out to star in 'pink film' director Mitsuru Meike's Horny Home Tutor: Teacher's Love Juice (発情家庭教師 先生の愛汁, Hatsujō katei kyōshi: sensei no aijuru) (2003). Re-unveiled as The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai, the film grew to become a surprise cult hit, enjoying at 20 intercontinental film festivals.
