There has been widespread misunderstanding of a 2005 research that found that 1 in seven youths had gained an undesired on-line sexual solicitation but the authors of that study - the Crimes Against Children Research Center - posted a truth sheet that clarifies that these solicitations are commonly not from predators and most of the recipients of the solicitations did not perspective them as major.
