If, as Moldbug implies, a company state’s profits arrived from land price taxes, and so income arrived from expanding land values, then matters like lowering crime, pollution, and poverty would be in the corporate state’s finest pursuits. They happily accepted (and invented) subprime loans that would elevate their earnings today at the charge of very likely economical disaster tomorrow.
