In 2019, the Iranian governing administration registered the Holy Savior Cathedral, usually referred to as Vank Cathedral, in the New Julfa district of Isfahan, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with considerable expenditures for its congregation. Currently three Armenian churches in Iran have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Iranian experts outside the house Iran have also built some major contributions to science.
