In 1977, Divine co-starred in the revue Restless Underwear, together with Canadian rock band Rough Trade, which performed at Massey Hall in Toronto. Bernard Jay, Divine's supervisor, claimed that it was a "gigantic disaster", as Divine did not have as huge a portion in the revue as audience associates expected. On many instances he would have his photograph taken with them and at times use these visuals for document handles and posters.
