New Taipei includes natural scenery like Yangmingshan National Park. Seeing the canyon by aircraft is a flight you'll never forget. I recommend doing the South Rim for tourists starting from Phoenix and Sedona. Make sure to examine the extra expense of traveling from Manhattan to Newark, NJ (EWR). The stones fit so perfectly together that in some parts a knife blade can't fit between them.
