Up up until that point, the complainers of the environment being hurt were probably believed to be some outsider intent on destroying deep space through thrashing the earth out. The only characters that terrified him were Lilo and Stitch, due to the fact that he had never ever seen them on television. (And personally, I think they're sort of frightening anyway)! Just a couple of miles west of Gulf Shores, it has a more historical feel.
