The connections and response houses of cells in DM/ V6 suggest that this location is a important node in a subset of the "dorsal stream", referred to by some as the "dorsomedial pathway". The first research of the electrophysiological homes of neurons in MT confirmed that a large part of the cells are tuned to the speed and course of moving visual stimuli.
