Anonymous and New World Hackers claimed responsibility for the 2016 Dyn cyberattack in retaliation for Ecuador's rescinding Internet access to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at their embassy in London. They declared a cyberwar in opposition to Iraq and China and planned on disabling online access in retaliation for the countries' human legal rights abuses.
