Slightly Damned: The "beast" (a demon) is instructed an in-universe variant of the trope-naming tale. This gets to be less and a lot less of an impediment as the tale progresses. There is a minimal subversion nevertheless, as it turns out Humans Are the Real Monsters who push them apart, top to the deaths of the enthusiasts and the seize of the toddler Terra.
