Martin Eden, Jack London’s 1909 novel, last but not least obtained an adaptation deserving of its writer from Italian filmmaker Pietro Marcello. One will get the sense viewing Midsommar that Aster’s got anything assembled rigorously, that he’s the form of guy who cannot enable everything go-from the meticulously considered-out belief system and ritual at the rear of his fictional rural group, to the composition of each and each shot.
