On October 7, 2003, the film was re-launched on VHS and released on DVD for the 1st time, titled The Lion King: Platinum Edition, as portion of Disney's Platinum Edition line of DVDs. In comparison, the film Mona differed from Blue Movie by presenting far more of a story plot: Mona (played by Fifi Watson) had promised her mother that she would continue to be a virgin right until her impending marriage.
