The IWF was later on documented on the BBC News web page to have mentioned "IWF's overriding objective is to minimise the availability of indecent pictures of youngsters on the Internet, however, on this situation our initiatives have had the opposite outcome". This influence was also mentioned by the IWF in its statement about the removing of the URL from the blacklist.
