On 21 August 2019, Chile's nuncio introduced that the Vatican experienced launched an investigation into claims that Bernardino Piñera, an influential Chilean priest who is also a paternal uncle of Chilean President Sebastian Piñera, sexually abused at the very least just one boy or girl 50 many years prior.
