The silver lining is that for an hour's really worth of phone calls, there are generally at minimum a few or 4 callers I am in a position to coax very well over the 7 minute mark (I watch my digital stopwatch like a hawk), and at the very least 1 that lasts fifteen minutes or a lot more.
