She was a close friend of Saint Leoba, who reportedly lived some time with her at court. They successfully campaigned for a 1967 Executive Order extending the exact same affirmative action granted to blacks to ladies, and for a 1968 EEOC determination ruling illegal intercourse-segregated enable want advertisements, afterwards upheld by the Supreme Court.
