Jackson & Fox submitted plans for alterations to the assets. In 1847, the Hall was leased to Robert Parker, and he purchased it in 1853. After his death in 1856, he passed the Hall and other residence to Thomas Edmundson Parker. The property is shown - but not named - on later on maps. In this method was idolatry set down, and the castle from that day onwards was named the Castle of St. Angelo.
