Perhaps some viewers would be prepared to acknowledge that heroic tales are fantasies: "I would like to have the tremendous electricity a superman has." They may be less inclined to acknowledge that these stories are heterosexual male domination fantasies: "I would like to have the electrical power to command warm females" (however to acknowledge this would be to accept that these comics’ chivalric code is a sham).
